President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a closed-door meeting with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara at the State House, Abuja.
This meeting follows Fubara’s official return to office on September 19, after a six-month state of emergency in Rivers was lifted.
The emergency, declared in March 2025, was imposed to address a prolonged political crisis threatening governance and stability in the state.
Today’s discussions are expected to centre on peace consolidation, governance continuity, and strengthening democratic institutions in Rivers State.
