Vice President Kashim Shettima has left Abuja for New York to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The high-level event, which runs from September 22 to 28, will feature Shettima delivering Nigeria’s national statement and participating in key debates and side events.
He is also expected to announce Nigeria’s updated climate commitments under the Paris Agreement at a UN special session on climate.
