Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has met with state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the party’s National Elective Convention, which is scheduled to take place in Ibadan on November 15 and 16.

The meeting took place on Thursday night at the Oyo State Government Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, with the delegation led by Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, the Edo State PDP Chairman.

Aziegbemi praised Governor Makinde for his unwavering commitment to fostering unity and stability within the party, describing him as a “visionary leader dedicated to inclusivity,” whose efforts have strengthened the PDP nationwide.

He further acknowledged that Governor Makinde has been instrumental in guiding the party through recent challenges and promoting reconciliation among its members.

“Governor Makinde has remained the pillar of stability in our great party. His visionary leadership and commitment to inclusivity have not only strengthened the PDP but have also had a positive impact nationwide,” he said.

All PDP state chairmen, except those from Imo and Abia States—who have ongoing legal cases against the party—were present at the meeting.
