In view of the ongoing road reconstruction along the Sagamu Interchange axis, motorists are advised to note that there is a traffic gridlock at the Interchange, extending towards both the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway and the Abeokuta–Kobape–Siun–Sagamu (PMB) Expressway.
Consequently, travellers are advised to make use of the alternative routes listed below. Those approaching the affected area should plan their journeys accordingly, while motorists already caught in the traffic are urged to exercise patience and drive with caution, as TRACE, the Police, and the FRSC are on ground managing the situation.
âś… Alternative Routes:
- Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway
- Abeokuta–Siun–Ofada route to link Mowe–Sagamu–Ikorodu Road and Siun–Ogere Road
Meanwhile, operatives of the security and traffic management agencies mentioned above are actively working to ease the congestion, prevent route violations, and curb reckless driving. Construction engineers have also been contacted to temporarily reopen closed sections of the road to alleviate gridlock further and clear the traffic backlog.
The inconveniences caused are deeply regretted, and all road users are assured of continued efforts to restore smooth traffic flow as quickly as possible.
