The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have announced that football fans travelling to Morocco for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations will be eligible for free electronic visas.
The policy applies to supporters from countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco.
In a statement issued on Friday, CAF said:
“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.”
CAF noted that global interest in the tournament has surged, with increased demand for tickets as the event draws nearer.
Fan ID + Free E-Visa Required
To enter Morocco and access stadiums, fans must obtain two documents:
- Fan Identification (Fan ID) – mandatory for access to stadiums and official fan zones.
- Electronic Visa (e-Visa) – required only for nationals of countries that usually need a visa.
Both can be applied for in one place through the YALLA app, which CAF says will streamline travel, verification, and match-day access.
“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike,” CAF added.
How to Apply
Fans can download the YALLA app on Google Play or the Apple App Store or visit the official YALLA website.
Once the Fan ID and—where required—the e-visa are approved, supporters can then purchase match tickets via the official CAF ticketing platform.
Morocco Set for a Grand Hosting Return
AFCON 2025 will be staged across nine stadiums in six cities, marking Morocco’s first time hosting the competition since 1988.
A total of 24 national teams will compete in what is expected to be one of the most widely attended AFCON editions, showcasing fierce rivalries and a new generation of African football talent.
CAF says the new entry measures are intended to ensure a “seamless and secure” experience for all fans attending Africa’s premier football tournament.
