40-year-old Ronaldo dazzles with bicycle kick in Al-Nassr’s win over Al Khaleej

Cristiano Ronaldo once again proved that time has done little to dull his brilliance. On Sunday, the 40-year-old forward delivered a breathtaking bicycle kick to seal Al-Nassr’s 4–1 triumph over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League—an effort instantly drawing comparisons to his legendary overhead strike in Turin.

Ronaldo’s moment of magic came from a precise cross swung in from the right. Elevating with trademark athleticism, he connected cleanly with a soaring acrobatic volley, leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

Jorge Jesus’ side controlled proceedings from the opening whistle. João Félix set the tone early, scoring one goal and assisting another to give Al-Nassr a firm grip on the match before halftime.

Ronaldo, lively throughout, threatened repeatedly. He forced a strong save from the edge of the box and later saw a close-range effort denied brilliantly by goalkeeper Moris.

The encounter’s intensity heightened late on, with Al Khaleej reduced to ten men after a red card. Ronaldo then delivered the final flourish, netting his 955th career goal and putting the exclamation mark on an already commanding performance.

The win preserves Al-Nassr’s perfect start to the season—nine victories from nine matches.

Ronaldo recently returned from international duty with Portugal, where he was sent off against Ireland but still took part in celebrating his nation’s qualification for the World Cup. Should he be selected for the tournament, he would stand alone as the first player ever to appear in six World Cups, an accomplishment that would further engrave his name among football’s all-time greats.
