President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally transmitted a list of ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, in line with Section 171 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
The nominations, comprising career and non-career diplomats, reflect the President’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s foreign relations and enhancing the nation’s global representation. The nominees will undergo screening and confirmation by the Senate in accordance with established legislative procedures.
President Tinubu expressed confidence that the nominees possess the expertise, experience, and patriotism required to advance Nigeria’s diplomatic interests, foster international cooperation, and promote economic development through strategic global engagements.
The Presidency urges the Senate to give the nominees expeditious consideration in the national interest.
