Four Dead, 10 Injured in Katsina Road Crash

A fatal road accident in Katsina State has claimed the lives of four people and left 10 others injured, authorities confirmed on Monday.

The crash occurred along a major highway in the state when two vehicles were involved in a collision. Eyewitnesses said the impact was severe, with several passengers trapped before rescue teams arrived.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state said the injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue.

Preliminary reports indicate that speeding and possible loss of control may have contributed to the crash, though investigations are ongoing.

The FRSC has again urged motorists to obey traffic regulations, avoid overspeeding, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy—especially as road traffic increases during the festive season.
