Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola, popularly known as FRYO, has been elected as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The primary, conducted on Tuesday in Osogbo, took place under heavy security.
According to the election official who declared the results, Adebayo secured 919 votes out of 957 valid, accredited votes.
Interestingly, despite previously announcing his resignation from the party, the name of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke still appeared on the PDP governorship primary ballot.
