Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, and Stanley Nwabali in Nigeria’s starting lineup for their Group C encounter against Tanzania at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who had been a fitness concern ahead of the tournament after struggling with injury, has recovered in time to start between the posts. Victor Osimhen, Nigeria’s talisman and leading striker, will spearhead the attack as the Super Eagles seek a positive start to their AFCON campaign.
Midfielder Alex Iwobi also features prominently, offering creativity and experience in the middle of the park.
