Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, empathy, and unity, while sustaining investments in the wellbeing of children, women, and vulnerable groups as the country ushers in the year 2026.
She made the call in her New Year message titled “Hope on the Horizon,” in which she expressed gratitude for the gift of a new year, describing it as one filled with joy, renewed hope, and reassurance in God’s promises for the nation.
Reflecting on the past year, the First Lady said it reaffirmed the resilient and enduring spirit of Nigerians, who demonstrated courage, strength, creativity, and an unwavering belief in a better future. She noted that she remains deeply inspired by women, men, and young people across the country who continue to work tirelessly to uplift their families, communities, and the nation at large.
Reaffirming her confidence in Nigeria’s future, Senator Tinubu urged citizens to invest in what the nation can become by creating opportunities that enable every Nigerian to thrive with dignity and purpose.
