Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was received by the APC State Executive Council at the party’s Jos secretariat.
Speaking after completing the formalities, Governor Mutfwang said his decision followed extensive consultations across the state and emphasized his vision for a united Plateau. He urged residents to embrace unity and pledged continued support for President Bola Tinubu, highlighting the president’s commitment to national development.
Welcoming the governor, APC Plateau State Chairman Rufus Bature described the party as an inclusive platform that accommodates all without discrimination. Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, called on political actors to set aside differences and focus on the progress of Plateau State.
Governor Mutfwang later held a closed-door meeting with APC state leaders to discuss strategic plans moving forward.
