Gabriel Jesus was the standout performer as Arsenal secured a 3–1 victory at Inter Milan, extending their unbeaten run in the Champions League to seven matches and guaranteeing a top-two finish in the group stage.
The Gunners asserted control from the outset, with Jesus opening the scoring in the 10th minute following sustained pressure. Inter briefly threatened a response, and Petar Sučić equalised with a powerful strike from the edge of the area. However, Arsenal’s composure shone through: from a well-worked set-piece in the 31st minute, Leandro Trossard delivered a precise header from Bukayo Saka’s corner, allowing Jesus to restore the lead.
Substitute Viktor Gyökeres capped a dominant performance six minutes from time with a curling strike from outside the box, sealing a comfortable victory. Notably, Jesus’ second goal marked Arsenal’s 19th from corners this season, the highest tally across Europe’s top five leagues, highlighting their continued set-piece prowess.
With this result, Arsenal not only secure home advantage in the knockout stages but also avoid the uncertainty of the February play-offs, setting the stage for a strong campaign in the Champions League.
