Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a “minor” reshuffle within his cabinet, aimed at enhancing governance and operational efficiency.
A statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, revealed that the reshuffle involves three key appointments designed to improve coordination and policy execution in the state administration.
Gani Audu, the former Chief of Staff, has been nominated as the new Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, pending confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been reassigned from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing, where he will serve as Commissioner.
Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, who previously held the position of Commissioner for Lands and Housing, has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff to the Governor.
The reshuffle takes effect from January 30, 2026.
In the statement, Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that these changes will bolster coordination, streamline policy implementation, and improve governance across the state.
