President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye.
The President arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday aboard an Airbus A330. His return was confirmed in a brief statement issued by the Presidency to State House correspondents.
The state visit, which commenced on Tuesday, featured bilateral engagements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and culminated in the signing of nine agreements covering defence, energy, security, research, and other strategic sectors.
Both leaders discussed shared priorities aimed at deepening cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye across areas of mutual interest.
Members of the presidential delegation included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar; the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi; the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd); and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
