Leicester City have secured the loan signing of Nigerian midfielder Joe Aribo to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season. The move was confirmed by the club on Monday following reports by Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old brings experience from the Premier League, Championship, and Scottish Premiership, having played for Southampton (111 appearances) and Rangers (149 appearances, 26 goals), winning the Scottish Premiership (2020/21) and Scottish Cup (2021/22). Aribo also scored in the 2022 UEFA Europa League final.
On the international stage, Aribo has earned 34 caps for Nigeria, debuting in 2019, and was part of the squad that finished runners-up at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. He is set to join Leicester ahead of their Sky Bet Championship clash against Birmingham City on 7 February.
