The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has finalized accommodation arrangements for Nigerian pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah for the 2026 Hajj, meeting Saudi authorities’ deadlines.
Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, NAHCON Chairman/CEO, stated that the uploads and approvals by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj were completed in line with directives from Vice President Kashim Shettima, ensuring Nigeria’s operational interests are safeguarded.
Usman acknowledged the contributions of NAHCON staff, the Board, the Nusuk Masar team, the Forum of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, and the high-level delegation sent to Saudi Arabia. With this, Nigeria is among the countries that have secured accommodations within prescribed timelines for the 2026 pilgrimage.
