Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday inaugurated 20 Local Government coordinators for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative, a grassroots engagement project designed to communicate the policies and achievements of President Bola Tinubu across the state.
The governor also donated 20 vehicles to support the coordinators’ activities in their respective areas. Speaking at the inauguration at 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun, Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the initiative is not a political campaign, but a platform to raise public awareness of reforms, projects, and achievements of the Tinubu administration.
“This is an activation of like minds who believe in the message of Renewed Hope of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“Ambassadors will go from neighbourhood to neighbourhood to inform citizens about government commitments and what has been delivered.”
The project will focus on grassroots mobilisation, public sensitisation, and direct engagement with Lagos communities. The governor highlighted ongoing infrastructure developments such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway (over 400km completed) and Sokoto-Badagry Highway, alongside economic reforms stabilising key financial indicators.
Tayo Ayinde, named to lead the coordinators, stated the movement aims to bridge citizens with government programmes responsibly.
