Boxing legends Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are set to clash once again in a professional bout scheduled for September at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The highly anticipated rematch was announced Monday by Netflix, which will broadcast the fight live. The showdown reunites two of boxing’s biggest names, more than a decade after their blockbuster 2015 encounter, widely regarded as one of the richest fights in the sport’s history.
The announcement comes just days after the 48-year-old Mayweather revealed he would be coming out of retirement. Pacquiao, 47, expressed enthusiasm about the rematch.
“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history. The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch,” Pacquiao said in a joint statement.
The September bout is expected to generate significant global interest, rekindling one of boxing’s most iconic rivalries.
