Key opposition figures have gathered in Abuja for a joint press conference aimed at addressing the state of the nation’s democracy.
The briefing, titled “Urgent Call to Save Nigeria’s Democracy,” is taking place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in the Federal Capital Territory.
Among those already present are prominent leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including former Senate President David Mark, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi.
Also in attendance is the National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ahmed Ajuji, alongside other senior NNPP members, including Buba Galadima.
The joint appearance signals a coordinated move by opposition leaders to address pressing national issues and outline their concerns regarding Nigeria’s democratic trajectory.
