The National Assembly of Nigeria has again deferred the resumption of plenary sessions, shifting the date from Thursday, March 5 to Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
In a notice circulated to senators and members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, the leadership announced that plenary would now reconvene at 11:00 a.m. on the new date.
The statement was signed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, who urged lawmakers in both chambers to take note of the adjustment and realign their official engagements accordingly.
The leadership of the two Houses expressed regret over any inconvenience the change may cause.
The latest shift follows an earlier postponement from February 24 to March 5, which was said to allow committees sufficient time to conclude ongoing budget defence sessions.
The repeated rescheduling underscores the Assembly’s focus on finalising critical fiscal deliberations ahead of full legislative proceedings.
