The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda, on Thursday swore in two new commissioners to the State Executive Council.
The appointees are Sani Ali-Ahmad from Daura Senatorial District and Mannir Sullubawa from Katsina Senatorial District. Prior to his appointment, Ali-Ahmad served as the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Sullubawa was the immediate past Director-General of the Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency (KEWMA).
Their swearing-in follows their screening and confirmation as commissioner-nominees by the Katsina State House of Assembly.
During the ceremony at the Red Chamber of the General Muhammadu Buhari Government House, Governor Radda said the appointments recognize the appointees’ dedication, commitment, and contributions to the state’s development. He encouraged them to support the administration in implementing policies under the “Building Your Future” initiative and expressed confidence in their integrity and capacity.
After taking the oaths of allegiance and office, the commissioners pledged to perform their duties faithfully, loyally, and honestly, in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The ceremony was attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers of the new commissioners.
