The naira weakened in the parallel market yesterday, sliding to ₦1,380 per dollar from ₦1,376 the previous day.
In contrast, the currency recorded its first appreciation in over two weeks at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), closing at ₦1,382.65 per dollar compared to ₦1,390 on Tuesday.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) indicated a ₦7.35 gain, narrowing the gap between the official and parallel markets to ₦2.65 per dollar from ₦14.
