Nigeria is aiming to secure $50 billion in investment deals at the Intra-African Trade Fair 2027, according to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole.
The announcement was made during the signing of the hosting agreement in Lagos, involving the Federal Government, African Export-Import Bank, African Union Commission, and the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat.
Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oduwole said the event aligns with the administration’s economic agenda to boost trade, attract investment, and strengthen Africa’s economic integration.
Previous editions of the trade fair have generated over $167 billion in deals, and Nigeria hopes to surpass that record when it hosts the 2027 edition.
