A section of the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation building in Abuja was engulfed by fire on Monday morning, prompting emergency response efforts.
The incident reportedly started around 8:20 a.m. in Section C of the complex housing the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. Eyewitnesses said smoke was seen billowing from part of the building, forcing staff members to quickly move away from the affected area.
Officials from the media department of the Head of Service confirmed the outbreak, noting that emergency responders were immediately alerted and were working to contain the fire.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities are expected to launch an investigation once the situation is fully brought under control.
