The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Muslims in Lagos and across Nigeria on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor commended Muslim faithful for their dedication to fasting, prayers, and spiritual devotion during the holy month.
Sanwo-Olu urged Muslims to sustain the values of Ramadan, including piety, compassion, generosity, and support for the less privileged. He also encouraged continued peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths in Lagos State.
Describing Ramadan as a significant pillar of Islam that promotes discipline and submission to the will of Allah, the governor called on residents to uphold its teachings beyond the fasting period.
He further appealed to Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country, stressing the need for collective efforts toward the growth and development of Lagos State and the nation at large.
The governor also urged citizens to seek divine guidance for leaders and to remain committed to justice, fairness, and the common good.
