Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal’s upcoming international friendlies as he continues to recover from injury.
The decision follows discussions between his club, Al Nassr, and the Portugal national team’s technical staff, with both sides agreeing to prioritize his full recovery.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the veteran forward is still undergoing rehabilitation, and medical teams have chosen not to risk aggravating the injury ahead of more important competitive fixtures.
Ronaldo’s absence is considered a precautionary measure to ensure he returns to full fitness for both club and country. Despite the setback, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been in strong form this season, scoring 22 goals across competitions for Al Nassr.
Portugal is scheduled to play friendly matches against the United States national team and Mexico national team later this month as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
