Abba Kabir Yusuf has reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening security across Kano, stressing that the protection of lives and property remains a top priority.
The governor made this known while receiving Muhammadu Sanusi II, who paid him the traditional Sallah homage at the Government House, alongside district heads and members of the emirate council.
Represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Isma’il Jibril Falgore, Yusuf said his government is focused on improving security across all 44 local government areas, recognising peace and stability as key drivers of development.
He assured that proactive measures are being implemented to strengthen security architecture, enhance collaboration with security agencies, and promote community-based initiatives to curb crime.
The governor also urged parents to instill strong values in their children to help build a responsible and law-abiding society.
He commended the traditional institution for its continued support in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence.
In his remarks, Sanusi praised the government’s achievements in education and called for greater efforts in healthcare and youth empowerment, while reaffirming the emirate’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace and stability.
