President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu, an economist, banker, and philanthropist, as he marks his birthday on March 22.
Elumelu, who chairs Heirs Holdings, United Bank for Africa, and Transcorp, is also the founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation.
The President praised him as a leading African business figure and a strong promoter of Nigerian and African enterprise.
He commended Elumelu’s resilience, commitment to excellence, and firm belief in Africapitalism.
Highlighting his dedication to youth development, the President applauded the Tony Elumelu Foundation’s entrepreneurship programme, which has trained 2.5 million young Africans across 54 countries and provided over 24,000 entrepreneurs with $5,000 each in seed funding.
As Elumelu celebrates, the President joined his family and associates in wishing him good health, strength, and continued success.
