Real Madrid edged past Atletico Madrid 3–2 in a thrilling La Liga derby, thanks to a brilliant double from Vinícius Júnior.
Ademola Lookman gave Atletico the lead in the first half, finishing off a slick team move to put the visitors ahead at the Santiago Bernabéu.
However, Madrid responded quickly after the break. Vinícius equalised from the penalty spot before Federico Valverdefired the hosts into the lead just minutes later.
Nahuel Molina brought Atletico level with a stunning long-range strike, but Vinícius struck again to restore Madrid’s advantage and ultimately secure all three points.
Despite Valverde’s late red card, Madrid held firm to claim victory and keep pace with league leaders Barcelona.
