The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has approved the redeployment of several Assistant Inspectors-General (AIGs) across key departments and commands of the Nigeria Police Force to enhance operational efficiency nationwide.
Under the new assignments, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has been posted to lead Zone 2 Command in Lagos, covering both Lagos and Ogun states. Other notable redeployments include:
- AIG Ado Emmanuel – Department of Research and Planning, Force HQ, Abuja
- AIG Joseph Eribo – Armament Unit
- AIG Miller G. Dantawaye – Operations
- AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche – Training and Development
- AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo – Accounts and Budget Department
- AIG Dahiru Mohammed – Zone 15 Command, Maiduguri
- AIG Dankombo F. Morris – Zone 4 Command, Makurdi
- AIG Bello Shehu – Zone 14 Command, Katsina
- AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba – Legal Services
- AIG Ahmed Musa – Community Policing
- AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom – FCID Annex, Lagos
- AIG Haruna Olufemi – Special Protection Unit, Force HQ
Force Headquarters directed all affected formations to update their records immediately, highlighting the urgency and importance of the redeployments.
