The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has strongly condemned the recent killings in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North, describing the incident as a tragic reminder of persistent violence in the region.
In a statement, President Baba Ngelzarma expressed condolences to the victims’ families and stressed that no religious, ethnic, or political grievance justifies taking innocent lives. He urged religious, traditional, and community leaders to promote dialogue, tolerance, and peace, warning against inflammatory rhetoric that fuels violence.
Ngelzarma also called on security agencies to act decisively to identify, investigate, and prosecute those responsible for instigating violence, emphasizing the importance of strengthening intelligence, community-based peacebuilding, and security presence in vulnerable areas.
“Nigeria cannot afford to normalize mass killings. The sanctity of human life must remain non-negotiable. The time for decisive action is now. Enough of the bloodshed,” the statement added.
