Christians across Nigeria joined the global faith community on Sunday to celebrate Easter, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the triumph of hope over despair.
Despite security concerns in parts of the country, including Plateau and other northern regions, worshippers gathered in churches nationwide for special services filled with prayers, hymns, and messages of sacrifice, renewal, and faith.
Clergy used the occasion to call for peace, unity, and compassion, urging Nigerians to reflect on the true meaning of Easter and extend support to the vulnerable.
The Christian Association of Nigeria also appealed to government at all levels to address insecurity and economic hardship, encouraging citizens to remain hopeful and resilient.
For many, Easter serves not just as a celebration, but a time for deep reflection, charity, and renewed commitment to faith and community values.
