Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of a Skills Acquisition Centre in Jos, aimed at empowering youths with employable skills and reducing crime.
The initiative, to be implemented under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, is expected to boost job creation and drive socio-economic development in the state.
In addition, the President also approved a 1,000MW power project across Northern Nigeria, with Plateau State selected as one of the pilot locations. The project, to be executed in partnership with the United States, is designed to improve electricity supply and stimulate economic growth.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang welcomed the move, describing it as a timely intervention to tackle unemployment, power shortages, and security challenges in the state.
