The Kano State Police Command has successfully reunited 16-year-old Yusuf Sabiu with his family after a swift investigation uncovered his true identity.
Sabiu, who initially claimed to be a Spanish national named Alex Ansol, was found in Dadin Kowa Village, Doguwa LGA, Kano. His parents, Saminu Yusuf (Kaduna) and Habiba Alhassan Adam (Plateau), had been separated for over 13 years.
The teenager was safely handed over at Doguwa Police Division, thanks to quick police action and public cooperation.
Police spokesperson Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa emphasized the importance of timely reporting and community support in resolving missing persons cases. Parents are also urged to maintain communication regarding their children’s welfare.
