The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed that its registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) followed due process, citing a Federal High Court order directing the commission to list the party.
According to National Secretary Barr. Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, the NDC applied for registration in 2017 but faced delays due to concerns over logo similarity with another party. The court ruled the logos were distinct, ordering INEC to register the NDC, a directive that was fully complied with.
Since then, the party has been conducting full political activities, including National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, notifying INEC in line with regulations, and submitting notices for upcoming congresses and national conventions. The NDC continues to engage citizens nationwide and in Abuja to expand its presence.
