President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to inaugurate six key legacy projects of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration during his first official visit to Lagos State.
Among the flagship projects to be commissioned during the two-day visit are:
- Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge – easing traffic between Ojota, Maryland, Mende, Opebi, and Allen axes, linking residential areas with Ikeja’s Central Business District.
- Lagos Multi-Agency Building, Alausa – consolidating government services for efficiency.
- LAGIS Building – providing geospatial, urban planning, and land administration services in one integrated location.
- Lagos Fresh Food Hub, Abijo, Ajah – enhancing sustainable food distribution and decentralizing access to fresh produce.
- Tolu Schools Complex, Ajegunle – regenerated to include modern classrooms, vocational training facilities, and disability-friendly infrastructure for over 20,000 pupils.
- Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle – comprising 19 mini-football pitches for sports and community engagement.
The projects reflect the Sanwo-Olu administration’s commitment to inclusive development, improved mobility, enhanced social welfare, and sustainable economic growth.
During the visit, over 500 LASTMA personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure smooth movement across the metropolis. The State Government has emphasized minimal disruptions while prioritizing the safety and comfort of residents.
These initiatives underscore the importance of continuity in governance, visionary leadership, and the strong partnership between the Federal and State Governments in building a Greater Lagos.
