The World Health Organization (WHO) has suspended medical evacuations from Gaza following the death of a contract worker during a security incident. Two other staff members were unharmed.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus confirmed that evacuations via Rafah to Egypt will remain suspended until further notice, while investigations continue. He called for the protection of civilians and humanitarian workers amid ongoing tensions.
