The Plateau State Government has relaxed the curfew in Jos North LGA, following a relative return to calm after recent attacks in Angwan Rukuba.
Effective Wednesday, April 8, 2026, residents may move freely between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., while the curfew will now be enforced from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Commissioner for Information and Communication Joyce Ramnap urged residents to carry out lawful activities within approved hours and to comply fully during curfew periods. Governor Caleb Mutfwang directed security agencies to enforce the curfew strictly to safeguard lives and maintain peace.
Authorities continue to monitor the area closely, with intensified patrols and surveillance across Jos North, Jos South, Barkin Ladi, and Riyom, even as calm returns.
