The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has announced the suspension of its planned strike following an understanding with the Federal Government on key demands, including:
- Payment of outstanding allowances and salary arrears
- Hazard allowances
- Steps toward resolving issues with the Medical Residency Training Fund
The decision came after an emergency National Executive Council meeting, where progress in negotiations and government assurances led NARD to give dialogue another chance.
⚠️ NARD emphasized that while the strike is suspended, the dispute is not fully resolved, and the government has shown renewed willingness to address the doctors’ concerns.
