President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, today commissioned the Lagos Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Office and the state-of-the-art ‘ABAT-3’ Data Centre in Alausa, Ikeja. The President was ably represented by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
This landmark facility is set to transform geospatial data management in Lagos State, enhance transparency in land transactions, and support sustainable urban planning—further establishing Lagos as a leading hub for innovation and smart city development in Nigeria.
The LAGIS Office houses the cutting-edge ABAT-3 Data Centre, the digital heartbeat of Lagos, engineered to securely host, process, and protect the State’s extensive portfolio of digitized land assets.
