Mohamed Hassan, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Dawakin-Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, has passed away following a brief illness.
His death was confirmed in a statement released on Friday by his Special Assistant on Media, Muazzam Dawakin-Kudu, who expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hon. Barr. M.D. Hassan,” the statement read.
According to the announcement, the late lawmaker will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 11, 2026, after a funeral prayer scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the National Mosque in Abuja.
The statement also offered prayers for Allah’s forgiveness and for the deceased to be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
Until his passing, Hassan was known as an active and dedicated legislator at the National Assembly, representing his constituency with commitment.
Tributes have begun pouring in from colleagues, constituents, and political stakeholders, many of whom have described his death as a significant loss to the nation.
