Obafemi Hamzat has commenced political consultations ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.
The Deputy Governor on Monday held a strategic meeting with members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), party leaders, and key stakeholders during a visit to elder statesman, Tajudeen Olusi, in Lagos.
Notable GAC members present at the meeting included Mutiu Are, Musiliu Obanikoro, and Bode Oyedele.
The engagement is part of ongoing consultations across the state, as political activities surrounding the 2027 governorship race begin to gather momentum.
In a post on X, Hamzat said he had “honest and thoughtful conversations” with council members about the future of Lagos and the leadership required to move the state forward.
He added that the consultations are focused on listening, learning, and collaborating with stakeholders to build a stronger Lagos.
