Former Minister of Interior and ADC National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, describing it as a scam amid rising economic hardship and insecurity.
Speaking at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Convention in Abuja, Aregbesola accused the administration of failing to deliver on key promises, particularly in electricity, economic stability, and citizens’ welfare.
He pointed to worsening power supply, rising fuel prices, and the depreciation of the naira as indicators of economic strain, while also raising concerns about increasing poverty and insecurity.
Aregbesola further urged Nigerians to consider alternative political platforms, positioning the ADC as a viable option ahead of the 2027 elections.
The remarks add to growing political tensions as opposition voices intensify criticism of the current administration’s policies and performance.
