Galatasaray S.K. delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, defeating rivals Fenerbahçe S.K. 3–0 in a heated Istanbul derby, with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen among the goalscorers.
Osimhen opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a close-range finish on his return from injury, setting the tone for a commanding display at Rams Park.
Barış Alper Yılmaz doubled the lead in the 67th minute from the penalty spot after Fenerbahçe had earlier missed a penalty opportunity through Anderson Talisca in the first half.
Lucas Torreira later sealed the emphatic win with a third goal in the 83rd minute, capping a strong performance from the league leaders.
The match was highly charged from the start, featuring early confrontations and multiple bookings, while Fenerbahçe’s hopes were further dented after a second-half red card reduced them to 10 men.
The result strengthens Galatasaray’s position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table, extending their lead to seven points with only a few matches remaining, putting them in a strong position to claim a fourth consecutive league title.
