The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, alongside designated bank accounts for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
The announcement, issued from the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the party, the updated schedule aligns with the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Key Dates:
- Sale of forms: April 25 – May 2, 2026
- Submission of forms: Closes May 4, 2026
- Screening of aspirants: May 6 – May 9, 2026
- Screening appeals (State Assembly/Reps): May 12 – May 13, 2026
- Primary elections: May 15 – May 23, 2026
The APC also disclosed fees for nomination forms across positions, including ₦100 million for presidential aspirants (₦30m Expression of Interest and ₦70m Nomination).
The party noted that female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities will receive a 50% discount on nomination fees.
It further directed all payments to be made into its designated accounts with Union Bank, UBA, and Zenith Bank.
The revised timetable signals intensified preparations by political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the APC stating that the adjustments are aimed at ensuring smoother internal processes nationwide.
