Kylian Mbappé is a major doubt for the upcoming El Clásico after Real Madrid confirmed he has suffered a thigh injury.
The club revealed the France captain has a problem with the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg, sustained during their 1-1 draw against Real Betis in La Liga.
Madrid, currently trailing league leaders FC Barcelona, will first face RCD Espanyol before the crucial El Clásico clash on May 10.
The injury is a significant setback for Los Blancos, with Mbappé being their top scorer this season. His absence could prove decisive in the title race, especially if Barcelona secure maximum points in their fixtures.
Mbappé has already endured multiple injury concerns this season, including a lengthy knee issue, raising fresh worries ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
