The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of Chidiebere Justice Mark, popularly known as Justice Crack, in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged cybercrime offences linked to a viral video concerning the Nigerian Army.
Mark was arraigned before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik on a three-count charge bordering on the circulation of false information and publication of materials capable of causing public unrest.
The defendant, reportedly arrested over the weekend, was accused of sharing a viral video via his X handle, @JusticeCrack, alleging inadequate feeding of Nigerian soldiers.
According to one of the charges, Mark allegedly circulated information he knew to be false with the intent to cause annoyance, ill will, and division among the public, an offence punishable under the Cybercrimes Act.
In another count, the DSS said his posts generated widespread negative reactions and were likely to cause fear and a breach of peace. He was also accused of attempting to commit a felony through the publication of what authorities described as derogatory content against the Nigerian Army.
Justice Abdulmalik adjourned the case to May 25, 2026, for trial and possible hearing of a bail application, and ordered that the defendant remain in DSS custody pending the determination of the case.
