IBADAN — The Transmission Company of Nigeria has announced a planned power outage affecting parts of Ibadan, Oyo State, as it begins routine maintenance at the Ayede Transmission Substation.
In a statement issued by its General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the company disclosed that a 100MVA 132/33kV transformer will be shut down for preventive maintenance between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The exercise, according to TCN, is aimed at ensuring the continued efficiency and reliability of the facility.
Due to the temporary shutdown, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company will be unable to supply electricity to customers in the Express, Industrial, and Oluyole areas during the maintenance period.
TCN assured residents that power supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance work.
