The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointments of Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power and Solar, Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The confirmation comes just 24 hours after President Bola Tinubu formally requested the Senate’s approval in a letter read during plenary by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Both nominees were screened by the Senate in accordance with constitutional provisions before receiving approval.
Tegbe’s nomination follows the resignation of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, who stepped down to pursue elective office.
Similarly, Enikanolaiye’s appointment comes after the elevation of Odumegwu Ojukwu to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, having previously served as Minister of State in the same ministry.
Before his nomination, Enikanolaiye, an indigene of Kogi State, served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations
